A child’s early experiences play a critical role in brain development, shaping neural connections that form the foundation for language, reasoning, problem-solving, social skills, behaviour, and emotional well-being. These developmental areas are essential to a child’s success in school and later life. At Victoria International Primary School, we currently provide 60 pre-school children with quality early childhood education, where play is an integral part of the learning process. Through this approach, children are building confidence and consistently exceeding expectations as they work toward achieving their full potential.

The first building, consisting of three classrooms, was officially launched in September 2020 and accommodates 30 pre-school children who benefit from a play-based learning curriculum. Completed in August 2025,
The new six-classroom building enabled the expansion of the primary school to Class 6, significantly increasing access to quality education for children in the community.

Launching first Pre-school in a small village

Victoria Nursery and Children’s Centre was built in a remote village named Ropolon Line in the Port Loko District of Sierra Leone using proceeds from Palm oil sales and the founder’s personal salary contributions. Officially launched on 20 January 2024 as the first nursery school in the area, the centre represents a vital investment in early childhood education where none previously existed. By providing free, high-quality education in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, the centre is giving vulnerable children a strong foundation for lifelong learning and a chance to break the cycle of poverty.

Let’s build a strong foundation together

It’s more about inspiring children to dream more, do more and go on to gain more in their respective journeys.
