Lack of opportunities to access education and training can have a major impact on women in the rural areas. They may not benefit from income-generating opportunities and improve their overall well-being. A variety of approaches can be used to support them and one we have embark on is a tie-dye project. We provide the resources and training required. The women commit to the training, they make items such as pillow cases, bed sheets and colorful t-shirts which are then sold to raise income to sustain their families.
